Hello %%First Name%%, How are you getting there?
You must be getting excited about Southern Exposure 2007 - I am!
With less than two months to go, I thought it might be a good idea to provide some additional information you may need to help you get to the inaugural Southern Exposure event. If you have never been to Tasmania, or indeed Cradle Mountain, it is important to note that it is located in a reasonably remote part of the island. Getting to and from Cradle is easy - it just requires a little planning.
To help you with your planning, I have detailed a few options on the right hand side including hyperlinks you can click on to take you to websites to find out more.
I personally think the most economical solution for people residing outside of Tasmania is to hire a car - especially if you can organise a car pool and spread the cost of hire (and the driving!)
Activities will be coordinated until 3.00pm on the Wednesday of Southern Exposure and Cradle Mountain is approximately 2.5 hours from Launceston Airport, 1.25 hours from Devonport and 4.5 hours from Hobart.
Only 8 Rooms Left!
That's right, there are only 8 rooms left at the Cradle Mountain Chateau. This means two things:
1. Southern Exposure is going to be huge!
2. If you know someone who thinks they might want to come - you must make sure that they realise the limited availability of rooms.
People can still attend the conference without staying at the Chateau but it sure makes the logistics for that person a little more complicated!
Please pass this important information on to anyone you think might be waiting for the last minute to book. We don't want anyone to miss out!
By the way - this newsletter is being distributed to anyone associated with Southern Exposure - if you are a speaker - don't panic - if you need it, your transport will be organised!
I hope this information helps you, and please remember if you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to ask - ian@ianwallace.com.au
Regards and looking forward to seeing you at Cradle Mountain.

Car Hire
Hiring a car would allow you the freedom of being able to come and go as you please, it also might be a nice idea if you intend to arrive before the conference or tack a couple of sight seeing days on to your stay.
Some car hire companies are listed below: Thrifty, Rent for Less, Budget, Europcar and Avis. There are many others, this is just a starting point.

There is an option to take the Spirit of Tasmania boat from Melbourne to Devonport (with your own vehicle) and drive yourself to Cradle.

News just to hand! Unfortunately, and for reasons outside of his control, Gary Heery will be unable to participate as a speaker at Southern Exposure. We have however been able to secure the talents of Tony Hewitt. Tony will be providing his knowledge as a speaker at the conference, he will also be providing his services as MC for the entire event.
